Every year, Maryland Health Connection must determine if you are still eligible to receive Medicaid coverage. If you fail to renew by your coverage end date, you will no longer be able to receive Medicaid benefits and MedStar Family Choice services.

Renewing online is easy! Visit MarylandHealthConnection.gov for more information.

You must also promptly report any changes that may affect you and your household’s health coverage, including changes to:
  • Your address

  • Your income

  • Your household size by marriage, divorce, or children

  • Your immigration status

  • Your health insurance

Maryland Health Connection also offers a free mobile app that enables you to enroll and renew benefits 

How to renew your coverage by mail

To renew by mail, contact Maryland Health Connection at 855-642-8572 (TTY: 855-642-8573) to request your renewal application. You can also log in to your Maryland Health Connection account online at MarylandHealthConnection.gov and download your renewal application. Complete the form and mail to:

How to renew your coverage with assistance or in-person

You can also get renewal help by visiting your local health department, Department of Social Services office, a local consumer assistance organization, or through a Certified Application Counselor near you.
