New School Immunization Requirements that go into effect Fall 2014

The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) sent out a transmittal dated March 13, 2014 announcing new school immunization requirements that will go into effect at the beginning of the school year 2014-2015.  As per the transmittal, Kindergarten Students must have two (2) doses of Varicella vaccine prior to the start of the school year this fall and Students entering 7th grade must have a single dose of Meningococcal (MCV4).  By law, students may not be admitted to school without documentation of receiving the newly required vaccinations.
